To celebrate the 10th “Annie-versary” of League of Legends in China, we partnered with Riot Games to create a film that spoke directly to its players — a love letter to a decade of epic gameplay, shared memories, and inside jokes only true fans would recognise. I creatively directed the film, shaping its story, tone, and visual language to capture the emotional journey of a gamer over ten years. Drawing inspiration from Riot’s insight that players thrive on discovery and community, we wove together Easter eggs, memes, and hidden references into a cinematic narrative packed with energy and nostalgia. From 3D animation to motion graphics and post-production, every detail was designed to feel authentic to the world of League of Legends. The film debuted at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre and rolled out across social and broadcast platforms, marking a powerful milestone in Riot’s legendary player-driven story.
